She may seem angry, harsh with the climate, fair only by the law of survival, but she is one and indispensable – our green planet, the mother of mankind. ECOBE is the name of the company under whose banner we create BUSHMEN® Travel Gear products and also an anagram of the slogan BE ECO. Ecology is a fashionable term, often misused in the contemporary business, sometimes even profaned with ideas bordering on the absurd. Let’s agree – flying to climate conferences in a private jet will not make it closer to nature, no matter how big the ECO inscription will be on its hull.
We love nature with a simple and sincere feeling. We incorporate pro-ecological methods in our company’s activity in an unforced and natural way. We try, simply in the name of principles and decency, to implement nature-friendly procedures at the very basis of our actions. The Leave no trace idea is one of the priority patterns of communing with the natural environment, banally uncomplicated – behave like a well-mannered guest. When your visit is over, the only trace of your presence should be pleasant memories. We like to be well-mannered, which is why we pay special attention to reducing the carbon footprint inevitably associated with modern transport. We prefer rail transport as the most environmentally friendly, especially when importing materials needed to manufacture BUSHMEN® Travel Gear goods. We treat air, land and sea freight as an alternative necessary evil. We persuade our suppliers and business partners to follow the same ecological strategy. We suggest solutions, provide advice and, if necessary, require relevant documents and certificates. In the production process we maximize the share of recycled materials, not only synthetic ones such as nylon or polyester, but also components of animal origin such as goose down – in the case of the latter we make sure that they are obtained with respect for animal rights. At the same time, we make every effort to ensure that the finished outdoor and camping BUSHMEN® Travel Gear products from by ECOBE crew are durable and will serve their buyers for many years of intensive adventures and travel.
We pay special attention to the color scheme. Colors related to the primal aura of wild nature allow for an effortless, intuitive integration with nature. Our gear is dyed primarily by the tones of the earth, making it a visually symbiotic part of the landscape. Whereas small, movable elements of equipment crucial for its funcionality are dressed in shades of extinguished orange – harmonizing in terms of tincture with the environment, at the same time gently contrasting with it, which allows them to be more easily found when “lost in the thick grass”.
We design compact, simple yet effective mounting solutions that guarantee long-lasting, solid usable structures. As one of the few in the industry we take care of such important details as matching fasteners to the naturally occurring conditions – soft ropes thick enough not to cut into the bark of the trees, wide straps gently wrapping the trunk, so as not to cause the slightest damage. The Leave no trace motto guides us here as well.
Deepening our awareness of the need for waste management, we remember about the nature-friendly packaging of BUSHMEN® Travel Gear brand products. Cardboard, undyed cartons made exclusively from recycled waste paper serve our articles as a fully ecological and at the same time visually attractive appealing outfit.
Nothing lasts forever and even our age-proof gear will end its adventurous and challenging life someday. We are not going to fight against the inevitable process of passing away, for that we lack the means and above all the competence. However, instead of burying anything into eternal oblivion, we definitely prefer to give it a chance for effective and fully ecological resurrection.
