HIDEOUT WARM olive
HIDEOUT WARM is a sleeping bag with a reinforced, waterproof construction and a built-in mosquito net.
It is also a very good hammock under blanket and an insulated waterproof poncho with a face mosquito net irreplaceable gear when marching across the jungle.
A number of innovative solutions make it a great, lightweight system, which is a perfect hideout against cold, moisture, and insects.
Bushcraft sleeping bag
HIDEOUT WARM is a spacious, anatomically shaped waterproof bushcraft sleeping bag. It can be used independently or as an external part of a modular system consisting of an outer and an inner sleeping bag (e.g. WALKER).
The HIDEOUT WARM sleeping bag is 230 cm long. The upper part is up to 90 cm wide. That ensures a comfortable sleep even for a very broad-shouldered person. It gradually narrows towards the feet to a width of 45 cm.
The outer layer is made of waterproof and breathable rip-stop polyester. Sealed outer seams and waterproof zippers located on the side protect the user from getting wet, regardless of whether he sleeps under a tarp or simply alfresco.
The face mosquito net, removed from the hood is fastened with a zipper to the upper part of the sleeping bag. In this way, it is protected against possible slipping during sleep.
Thanks to the dense mesh with 1 mm eyelets, it protects against mosquitoes, ants, ticks, and even against black flies.
The mosquito net has enforcement that keeps the net away from the face.
This smart solution fully protects your head from insects.
HIDEOUT WARM has a 120g/sqm synthetic filling supported by a heat-reflective layer. When used independently, it is a summer sleeping bag with a comfort temperature of +14C/+12C (♀♂).
Used as an external sleeping bag module, it allows you to use other sleeping bags as an inner liner. Using WALKER 1, for example, as an inner sleeping bag, a comfortable temperature will be +5C/+2C, and WALKER2 0/-7C, respectively.
(Read about thermal comfort here!)
Right next to the entrance (upper) zipper, there are two internal pockets with waterproof zippers. They are intended for personal belongings that should stay dry and close at hand (such as a mobile phone, headlamp, or documents).
Hammock under blanket.
HIDEOUT WARM olive is a great hammock under blanket with a limited temperature of 3C
It not only insulates the hammock from the bottom but protects it from splashes and wind too.
Just attach expanders (included in the set) to the loops located on the corners of the HIDEOUT, and the under blanket is ready. Hang it under the hammock and adjust the hammock’s blanket with a drawstring from the head side and a zipper from the foot side. Thanks to this, HIDEOUT will gently cover the hammock from the bottom and prevent cold air inflows.
The under blanket will perfectly warm you and protect you from wind and rain.
The trapezoidal shape allows you to create a cocoon (or a sock) that will wrap the hammock from the bottom and the top.
This is a good solution when HIDEOUT is the only sleeping system we have.
The hood with a built-in mosquito net can protect you from mosquitoes, ticks, and other insects at any time.
Rain poncho
HIDEOUT is a sensational insulated raincoat with unique features.
A great advantage is the mosquito net that protects the head and neck from insects.
The edge of the hood consists ready to use a mosquito net.
The face and neck are well-protected thanks to the mesh attached to the hood at one side and zipped to the collar from the other. The built-in enforcement keeps the mesh away from the face. Discrete side slots allow direct access to the face, e.g. when you need to wipe your glasses. They usually remain closed between the shoulder and the poncho.
An important advantage is waterproof zippers that close the poncho. This construction protects against intense rain, snow, and wind better than traditional ponchos fastened with snaps or velcro.
Thanks to the double-sided zippers, you can increase or decrease the breathability of the poncho at any time.
If necessary you can increase the warmth of the HIDEOUT used as a poncho with an additional insulation layer made of WALKER1 or WALKER2.
There is a pocket on the chest with a waterproof zipper.
Expanders are not without significance in this configuration.
You can gird them so that the whole outfit looks better (like a raincoat) and at the same time does not hinder movement.
Safety
Before using outdoor – Refer to the user manual here!
Elastic expanders provide safety of use and adjustment possibility when HIDEOUT is used as a blanket or poncho. They are designed to take over any stresses arising during use. When the stresses or forces acting on the HIDEOUT are greater than the expanding capacity, the expander elastic cord will slip out of the hook. This is the last signal and the intended protection against damage. In this way, the plastic hooks at the ends of the expanders act as fuses.
Inserting the end of the elastic cord back into the hook is very easy – lift the flap on the top side of the hook, insert the end of the expander into the gap between the flap and the main part of the hook, and close the flap. Do not allow the end of the expander to slip out of the hook – this means that the forces and stresses acting on the HIDEOUT are too big and may cause damage not covered by the warranty.
Even if the fabric is waterproof and vapor permeable intense use of the HIDEOUT may occur moisture inside. It can come from both condensed water vapor (dew point) and after prolonged contact of the material with water.
These are natural phenomena.
Repair patch
Each HIDEOUT comes with a repair patch in case something breaks.
Just clean and dry the damaged area.
Gently remove the adhesive surface protection and apply the patch.
Press down and wait 20 minutes – ready.
