Self-inflating Mattress manual

First use or at the beginning of the season

The mattress and the foam inside it may become compressed over time. This is especially noticeable during the first use when the self-inflation rate may be low. For the first time or after a long break, such as at the beginning of the season, simply inflate it manually.

After removing it from the package, open the valve and lay the mattress flat. If the mattress doesn’t begin to inflate after a while, help it by pumping air into it manually to make it as firm as possible.

We recommend using a Pump-bag for this purpose, but if you don’t have one, you can use your mouth.

The advantage of using a Pump-bag, aside from hygiene reasons, is that by using your mouth to inflate it, you introduce moist air into the mattress, which can lead to mold over time.

During frequent use, the mattress will inflate more quickly, but it may still require additional inflation to meet the user’s individual preferences.

Self-inflating mattress  – outdoor use

  • Preparing for use

NOTE! – Always check and clean the ground of any sharp objects that could damage the mattress.

Remove the mattress from its packaging and open the valve to allow air to flow in.
Unroll it and wait until the mattress absorbs the air. Pump the mattress to the desired firmness and close the valve.

The mattress is intended for sleeping and resting, not as a swimming mattress.

WARNING!

  • Be careful not to damage it with sharp objects that you may have with you, such as jewelry, belt buckles, zipper locks, keys, knives, etc.
Of course, delete all sharp objects from the ground before you will put the mat there.
  • Do not allow contact with open fire (and sparks) or objects with temperatures above 100°C. Such contact can result in burning, melting, or delamination of the mattress.
  • Do not expose a fully inflated mattress to direct sunlight – the mattress will heat up, causing an increase in internal pressure, which can damage it, such as causing delamination (known as bubbling), where the top material separates from the foam.

  • Packing the mattress
  1. Open the valve, fold the mattress in half lengthwise, and roll it from the feet toward the head to expel the air from the mattress.
  2. Close the valve, unroll the mattress (with the valve closed), and roll it up again. This will push any remaining air toward the valve.
Open the valve, release any remaining air, and close the valve.
  3. Fasten the rolled-up mattress with the attached velcro strap and put the mattress into the bag.

Storage

It is best to store the mattress in an open position, but this is not necessary. It simply prevents the foam from compressing.
Store it in a dry and shaded place. Do not expose the mattress to high temperatures or prolonged sunlight.

Maintenance

Removing moisture from the self-inflating mattress.

If you inflate the mattress manually with your mouth, remember to remove the moisture from the inside of the mattress when you return. To do this, allow it to inflate on its own and then roll it up, expelling the air. Repeat this process several times to ventilate and dry the inside.

Surface cleaning

Simply clean surface stains with water, soapy water, or a mild detergent. Do not use solvents.

Field repairs

Locate the damage. If you’re not sure where it is, submerge the inflated mattress in water or cover it with soapy water. The stream of air bubbles rising to the surface will indicate the location of the damage. Clean and dry the repair area, and then apply the patch.
